Regardless of our political and economic standings and affiliations, we at Fitness2Xtreme strongly believe in supporting our military personnel.

Active-duty, Reserve, National Guard, veterans and their family members benefit from many military charity organizations.

These charitable organization provide highly needed services such as emergency financial grants, counseling, emergency assistance, advocacy and many other types of direct and indirect supports.

fitness2xtreme-images-military-charities-shieldsAs a direct beneficiary of the sacrifices made by our men and women and their families, we strongly believe returning their services by supporting these military charities.

Unfortunately, there are many disreputable charities and scammers who pretend to support our military personnel when in fact, the only people supporting are themselves. Here is what Huffington Post had to say about some charities:

This is a huge deal. Please observe that most nonprofits are fine, but there still a whole bunch who are good at telling you a good story, cash your checks, make some noise, and get nothing real done.

In some cases, they make things worse, by attacking the efforts which actually get stuff done.

Thus, we highly recommend AGAINST making donations via unsolicited telephone calls or flyers via coupon booklet mailers and newspaper inserts.

Instead, we suggest that your do your research, including these resources:

  • Better Business Bureau (
  • Charity Navigator (
  • Charity Watch (
  • GiveWell (
  • Guide Star (
  • Independent Charities of America (
  • Smart Givers (

Fitness2Xtreme staff highly recommends military charities listed in this archives page.

Please be as generous as you possibly can.
